Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/MJ.4.5.32. 40/50 HP. CAR FOR MR. PASS. We agree with the suggestions made in Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}4/KW.3.5.32. Our only comments are :- (1) We would recommend Buttress Tread Tyres as providing the best form of non-skid. (2) We should not recommend D.W.S. Automatic Jacks. We assume that the people in the car will not object to getting a bit dirty if it is necessary to fit a wheel on the road. The risks with the D.W.S. jack is that they may be knocked with a stone and damaged so that they could not be operated. The standard hand-operated jack is undoubtedly the most reliable. (3) We see no reason why this car should not be made without a subframe. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
