X.8563 SEP 1928 Rolls Royce, Inc., Springfield, Mass. BY/WW/P4.9.20. Attention of RECEIVED c.c. Mr Shelton. c.c. HFW. c.c. FPC. Referring to my cable number 234 reading as follows:- "Refer cable 129 sylphon thermostat tube parts actually delivered decimal nought five nought too short Propose altering thermostat drawing by this amount and lengthening spindle to correspond in order to keep all sylphon tubes the same as batch delivered". We have now received your cable number 137. and on examination of Lec.1184, we agree that the thermostats as delivered are O.K. and have cabled to you as follows:- "Re Sylphon thermostat agree that thermostats are correct as supplied had overlooked fact that dimensions were correct when collapsed on to stop Further orders for Derby will be correct if produced like those received" The above cable, number 237, cancels our cable 234.
