excellent".

The result of this test is largely to uphold what we consider approved, that the burning away of the platinum points is not necessarily due to hydro carbon vapours. The deposit of fine black dust has been chemically proved to contain platinum and not carbon. However, this burning away of the points is not occurring to any extent so far on the magnetos on chassis, and also as previously stated, does not appear to cause complaints on production.

These ventilated contact breager covers are being supplied on standard magnetos for present production at Messrs. North's recommendation, though it does not appear to us that improvements are demonstrated, though on the other hand, the evidence at our disposal does not suggest either that the noise is increased.

The points arising out of the results of the endurance test herein quoted have been duly taken up with Messrs. North.
