to the crankshaft and rear bearing to avoid excessive flywheel flutter.

Our attention on this matter is being concentrated chiefly on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III and Wraith. In the meantime we have issued an experimental Bentley crankcase and crankshaft, specially arranged to take the latest Borg and Beck type of clutch. The length and diameter of the rear main bearing have been substantially increased, the bearing cap being anchored with four studs and the bearing housing stiffened with ribs. The flywheel and clutch have been pushed back 1/2" further to the rear than standard on this scheme, but it does not involve any change in the floorboards. We should, therefore, have shortly running a pure and uncontaminated Borg and Beck clutch, and one or two of our own clutches modified to conform to the latest known practice.
