Examination of the Cadillac Coachwork.
Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW24.1.35.

We note you wish to strip the Cadillac and we propose having the bodywork removed in the annexe at Lillie Hall, and we shall then ask the technical representatives from the leading Coachbuilders to come along and examine it and give them facilities for dismantling anything in the way of upholstery, etc. they may require to investigate the construction of.

We note you would then like the chassis driven or sent by rail to Derby and we will arrange this, sending it by rail if it is not feasible to drive it.

We shall be ready to tackle the job as soon as ever you like.

We are getting the four Coachbuilders to agree among themselves and get together a gang of men to remove this body - they will probably provide a gang between them and thereby learn as much as they can.
