NON-OXIDISING ALLOYS LIMITED.

I am sending you herewith a letter from the above Company dated August 31st. The non-oxidising aluminium alloy they refer to is not, generally speaking, of interest to us in regard to bonnets. In certain cases an owner specifies a polished bonnet, in which case its use might be advisable, but it certainly does appeal to us from the point of view of undershields.

Would the O.O. obtain sufficient of this material to make say two 20HP undershields and two 40/50, also enough to make one 40/50 bonnet, when we would instruct the Exp. Dept. to build up the undershields and bonnet in question from the material, with the object of trying out its properties and strength. In the first place it would probably be as well to obtain a price for the material. I think Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, will agree that non-oxidising material would be advantageous.
