COMPLETED DATE 28.4.39. RR 785A (10H) (49968) 19/10/37 C.E.Co. 25/30 H.P. WRAITH STANDARDISATION OF PARTS Description: CYLINDER HEAD GASKET (KLINGERIT .030). Date Issued: 7.12.38 Sheet No.: W.22. Drg. No.: EW.1933. L.O.P.S. Purpose: To avoid leaking trouble periodically experienced with C & A gaskets). Brief Report and Remarks: We have run numerous engines for long periods of endurance also 13,000 miles on 8.B.V. without any trouble. This particular gasket is for the modified cylinder block and head EW.1922/3 and should be introduced at the same time. Where we have definitely had a leak with a C & A the Klingerit has been a seal, also is approx. 6d. cheaper. Having a flat face is less liable to distortion than a ferrilled gasket also deletes the necessity of having to retighten the cylinder down after running. This must not be introduced without the modified piston. When recommended for Introduction: Report References By Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Ms By.{R.W.
