ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 461-8-12 24) MP 306975 To Order No. Customer's No. 19 the motor being 6.3. Upon attempting to run the motor light on the main winding it was found that the large plain bearing at the pinion end of the armature became very hot although well supplied with oil and the current was excessive ie. 45 amperes at 6 volts. We tested the armature and found it be quite OK and we consider the excessive current to be largely due to the plain bearing. This was confirmed by running the Bosch motor which also took a large current running light. Signed could This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
