Worl/R.20.6.33. MATTERS FOR ATTENTION ARISING OUT OF MINUTES OF CONFERENCE JANUARY 12/1933. CHASSIS. MINUTE 1. NEW & CHEAPER BONNET FASTENER. Decided that first 20 Peregrines be fitted with Remax Bonnet Fasteners. PRESENT POSITION. In abeyance. Keeping on report for purpose of seeing this is done when Peregrine is in production again. MINUTE 2. STEERING. Marles-Weller type steering. Minutes of Conference on Car Work - ref: Hyl/R.12.6.33. Minute 9 states "Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} raised the question of Steering Gear and said the Managing Director's new car will not have a Rolls-Royce steering gear, but will be fitted with a Marles-Weller steering instead. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} expressed the opinion that Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} would not be satisfied with the R.R. steering and that the Marles-Weller does improve the car. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} suggested that as we are now trying out the Marles-Weller we should also make tests with the Marles. This was agreed." MINUTE 5. ADJUSTABLE SHOCK DAMPERS. Suitable for the addition of Controlling Device. These are now on production. MINUTE 13. FURTHER MATERIAL FOR 20/25. Silent Second Speed. } Improved Shock Dampers. } Luvax Lubrication System } Axle Control. } These are now actually on production. Radiator Shutters of Drawn Section. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} states that shutters of the modified section are fitted to Bentley 4. | ||
