Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} gFE x.790 BY6/P11.6.20. CHASSIS - PISTONS. x.2748 Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG9.6.20., we have no objection in the works to do without a liner, but EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, was very strong on fitting liners, as it enables engines to be readily changed as far as compression is concerned. I think it should be discussed fully with Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, before making a change. EFC JUN 11 BY.{R.W.
