Dear Mr. Hardy, I am much obliged to you for giving me the information you have done over the telephone this morning in connection with the Timken Bearing you are using at the top and bottom of the Cam on Steering Gears, which is very useful. As promised during this conversation, I am arranging to despatch to-day the little assembly of the self-adjustable ball bearing which we have now got in use at the top of the column. This bearing I have had put on a Steering on my own car, and it certainly is very satisfactory. I enclose herewith a drawing shewing the design of the bearing which I think should provide a certain amount of information, but, as stated over the telephone, I shall be only too happy to give you any other data which you may require.
