Dear Sirs, Further to ours of the 2nd inst., we have now had an opportunity of testing the dash head instrument which the writer brought down with him last week. As agreed we introduced a dual air line into the circuit, and used a tank unit of exactly similar design and dimensions to that used on the 40/50 h.p. car for making the test. The level was raised from zero to twenty gallons in sixty seconds; practically representing the conditions of filling the tank from empty in sixty seconds. We believe that there would be no appreciable lag in the petrol passing from the ^tank end compartment into the middle one in which the gauge is situated, almost as quickly as it is poured into the tank, owing to the openings in the | ||
