E.1/HP.22.1.35.

c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

re Bentley Front Apron and Dumb Iron Covers.

With further reference to memos E.3/HP.18.1.35 and E.4/HP.19.1.35, Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} is not in agreement with adopting this modification forthwith on production without everybody concerned can see a car so modified, with a view to deciding that the risk can be taken.

The only Bentley we have with suitable mudguards and headlamp mounting is 5-B-IV, and we, therefore, propose to alter 5-B-IV immediately in accordance with drawing LeC.4313. This involves a modification to the existing mudguards which presumably can be done by Sanderson and Holmes locally. The existing wing can be beaten into the new shape required.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
