Referring to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/T4/F23.11.21, EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/T3/F24.11.21, Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}6/NJ21.12.21, EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/CEP.1/C23.12.21, Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}11/NJ5.1.22 and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/CEP3/C.-6.1.22, please note we have agreed to the Chloride Electric Storage Co's charges as follows:- One 2-volt. cell from chassis 16-GE - repairing and recharging 9/9d.nett. One 2-volt. cell from chassis 37-NE - recharging 1/0d.nett. One 6 BXE.5 battery from chassis 23-PE - repairs £1.0.0 nett. One 6 BXE.5 battery from chassis 50-JG - repairs 13/3d.nett. (Note:- The Chloride Co. in their letter of 19th ult. incorrectly quoted 8/10d. for repairing and recharging this battery the sum should have been 18/10d; this is reduced to 13/3d. as the battery is to be returned to us dry). One 6 BXE.5 battery from chassis 213-MG - repairs £2.0.1d.nett. As regards the three 12-volt. batteries returned to the Chloride Co. from Test Department, we have informed the Chloride Co. that we are not prepared to expend thereon the sums they have quoted for repairs and have asked them to return the batteries to us when next they are delivering batteries to us for production. Up to the present we have not received the Chloride Co's report on the 12-volt. batteries ex chassis 61-LG and 170-LG.
