SpectreCodename for Phantom III Accelerator Pedal.

I do not know whether I am peculiarly constituted, but I find the accelerator pedal position very uncomfortable on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III.

We agree that, as the attached blue prints show, there is not a very great deal of difference between the two cars, except that the leg is not supported well on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III due to the cushion being cut away on that side for the hand brake lever.

When we come to the Stromberg carburetter, however, we should like to try out the ordinary type of accelerator pedal. The movement on the Packard is remarkably small.

We appreciate that one of the difficulties with SpectreCodename for Phantom III has been that we wanted a lot of carburetter pull-off spring and this has necessitated a good travel to keep the breathers reasonably low.

There is one factor about the Phantom III and that is that owing to its greater liveliness the throttle is more nearly in the closed position most of the time. This is the position in which we complain of discomfort and not the all out position.
