Re Phantom III Experimental Cars, 36-EX and 37-EX.

This is to confirm our telephone conversation concerning the next two experimental Phantom III cars which are to have the bodies from Olympia Show dummy chassis.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} agrees that it would be the best arrangement to have these two bodies and their dummy chassis returned to the Coachbuilders concerned, namely Messrs. Park Ward & Co. and Messrs. Hooper & Co., and to ask them to remove the bodies.

We will arrange to send the finished experimental chassis to these Coachbuilders for the bodies to be mounted. Also we will arrange to instruct these two Coachbuilders concerning the body modifications that will be necessary to make these bodies suitable for fitting to the complete chassis.

As you are aware already one of the dummy chassis is to be loaned to the Lockheed Co. for the fitting of a sample set of hydraulic brakes. In order that they may see what their limitations are Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} is arranging for them to call at one of these Coachbuilders to examine the body and the dummy chassis. When they have done this we would be glad if you would arrange to send the dummy chassis to them at Leamington. It does not matter which car they deal with, but we suggest that they should look at the car at Hoopers' and have its dummy chassis.

To enable us to work out our programme would you kindly inform us the moment these cars reach their respective Coachbuilders from Glasgow.
