- 2 - CHASSIS (contd) (12) Brakes - easy adjustment with protected working parts. (17) Brake linings fixed with bifurcated rivets to facilitate production. (18) Pressed steel change speed gear gate - cheaper production. Dealing with those which in some cases do not seem very important to us, the Works are anxious to give us No(4) under the heading of 'Engine' as it helps production and they also consider (5) and (6) useful improvements. The other items under 'Engine' are only small features but are apparently available for us to have. Regarding the items under the heading of 'Chassis', it is of course already laid down that we shall have the new carburettor and the automatic control of shock dampers on the EB series from which we shall select our Olympia chassis. The other points which we shall receive under the heading of 'Chassis' are straightforward and are mostly features which help the Works in production. No.(7) - sealed filler with separate vent is a thing we have asked for, also No.(10) - semi isolation of floorboards. We have been pressing for this latter item for some time. No.(11) provides more efficient travel of the brake pedal and is a definite improvement. No(12) of course is a very useful feature and a good sales point. (17) and (18) are production features which the Works are glad to introduce. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} | ||
