Vivian PARIS Sr21/Dn11.6.35 To: "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}". Dear "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}", I have been making enquiries high and low to get some dope on the 3 Litre 300 Supercharged Ulster Bugatti, and have only succeeded in discovering that if there is such a car entered in this race, it has been entered by an Englishman; therefore nobody knows anything about it. It appears that what they call a 3.300 Grand RAID is very similar to what we would sell as a streamlined Bentley, and supposed to be capable of 160 kms or 170 kms per hour. (This is the fastest 3.300 turned out) There is no doubt that the standard 3L 300, which is capable of 150 kms per hour, is a very reliable car, provided it is not tampered with. This is about all I know, and I am anxiously awaiting your telephone call on Thursday at 10 am, and trust that everything will work according to schedule. I am more than ever of the opinion that you should avoid coming over via Le Havre, and the best route for keeping things quiet is Dieppe. Yours sincerely, h.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} | ||
