Dear "Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}",

A penknife was found in the Bentley, and as it bears the R.R. trade mark, we believe it is yours?

EWP{Mr Punt} was on the point of "snaffling" it, but as he does not smoke cigars, he does not need a knife to cut them. I have therefore decided that unless it is some souvenir with which you would not like to part, I could utilise it for the above mentioned purpose, and am therefore enclosing the proverbial halfpenny!
