Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Davey.

HOBSON PETROL GAUGE.

We have been conducting a series of tests to determine the variation in reading which occurs when the gauge is allowed to stand over night.

We are somewhat disconcerted to find that this variation is not the same for all gauges; some having an apparent loss of as much as 3 gallons whilst standing for one night, whilst others, the loss is hardly perceptible.

We should like to know whether you can give us any explanation as to how we can minimise the alteration in the reading of the gauge which takes place when the car is standing.

Yours faithfully,
