To deal with the question of flates forming on the rollers of Goshawk ll. valve rockers, it might be thought a good scheme to try a large roller since the present one is only twice the diameter of the pin on which it runs. We have accordingly mak- made a drawing of a suitable rocker carrying a roller 5/8" in diameter instead of 1/2" - LeC.1560 - which we send you herewith. This rocker is also fitted with bronze bushings where it runs on the fulcrum. We have no instructions to try larger rollers but I am writing to R.{Sir Henry Royce} on the point.
