Attached hereto is copy of report made by Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} following the dismantling of certain parts and re-erection on the above car in regard to :-

(a). New Exhaust System, which Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} is testing.

This we propose to introduce on any issue of material following 'C' series, which saves weight and makes more H.P. available.

(b). The radiator mounting - S.CD.659, is put forward as a simpler method of achieving our present purpose, which apparently wants further modifications.

(c). Lower Rating Front Springs, with roll rod are standard on 'C' series.

(d). The hydraulic damper for the brake mechanism was introduced to overcome brake thumps, also noise occurring when the brakes are let off quickly. It is very successful, and we are making a scheme for this, which we will apply retrospectively when brake thumps are complained of. It will mean considerable saving on service work.
