Main Battery Leads.

With reference to your note of the 25th July, re battery leads, we have gone into the question very thoroughly, and the Electrical people say that if you put the cable into the cross it gets burned. They say that they had an example of this. I cannot believe that it gets burned under road conditions, though I can believe that it would get charred on the dynomometer.

It will, therefore, be interesting to see whether your cable is all right or not as you have been running at high speeds.

At the moment they are contemplating running the cable across the rear gearbox supporting member, but this is not very tidy.
