For the attention of A.F.Martindale, Esq.

14th February, 1938.

Dear Sirs,

Tests on 6.50-17 Tyres.

Further to our letter of the 7th, we have now received from our Research Division copies of the Accelerometer records, which we attach, made during the braking test carried out on the 4th instant.

We also attach an extract from the covering report.

We are not providing records of each individual run, but as the characteristics of the curves are in the main the same, the figures contained in the report represent an average over all tests.

For comparison with the results of the tests carried out, we include the typical curve of a car with all four wheels locked, as against rear wheels only locking on the Bentley.

We also enclose detailed records Nos: 1, 2, 3 and 4, of runs made when your fifth wheel attachment was in use, and we should be very interested to know how our results compare with your own.

We regret that on the fifth run it was not possible to give an accurate recording, in view of the time lag in switching on our instruments.

It is hoped that the information provided will enable you to further your investigations, and should you feel it advisable to extend these tests or if there are any additional details which you think we could supply to be of assistance, we should be very happy to co-operate with you.

Yours faithfully,
FOR THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO., LTD.
