Dear Sirs,

CASE-HARDENING STEELS.

We beg to advise you that we have recently placed upon the market a Case Hardening Steel of unusual purity and uniformity.

The Sulphur and Phosphorous contents are only .010% and .006% as compared with .05 to .06% of the general run of case hardening steels.

Physical tests are as follows:-

Tensile 28.5 tons.

Elastic limit 17
Elongation in 2" 39.5%
Reduction of area 61%

The price of this high grade steel is £35 per ton and we can, at this moment, commence delivery of standard sizes in 7 days.

Yours faithfully,

for Sir. W.G. Armstrong, Whitworth & Co.

Walter Todd.
