S.S. CLUTCH CONTROL.

In reply to DAL/M23.9.29, we have examined the trunnion shafts on all our S.S. cars at present in Derby (viz. 19, 20, 21 and 22-EX) and cannot locate any signs of wear on any of them.

None of these cars have completed a really big mileage, but owing to the large bearing surface, small movement and load, together with the adequate lubrication provided, we cannot think that there will be any appreciable wear after a large mileage.

There does not therefore appear to be any objection to repeating this practice on the new 20 HP. car.
