RE GOSHAWKAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine DYNAMOS. X.4383.

Having now satisfactorily settled the main brush position for all GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine dynamos irrespective of variation in the field windings, carcase and air gap, all further tests with the exception of a portion of the running load test at present being carried out, should be done with the main brushes in this approved new position.

It now seems advisable to finally compare, as regards output and commutation, the three experimental test machines which we have, namely

(1) New production GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine dynamo.
(2) Our previous experimental GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine dynamo whose field windings have been altered to 20 S.W.G. in place of 19 S.W.G.
(3) The larger experimental machine provided with a thicker carcase and smaller air gap.

It will be desirable to see which of these machines is now the all round best, and in the event of one of the non-standard machines being best, if the extent of the improvement is sufficiently marked to warrant the change on production, taking into account what this may involve; then in any case, to determine whether

(a) the general specification of performance and (b) specification of production test require any alteration in order to comply with the standard (or new standard) machine.

theThis being done, the GoshawkAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine dynamo job, except in
