PHANTOM II. AND 25-HP. CHASSIS. AUTOVAC FILTERS CHOKED. We still continue to find the small filter where the petrol enters the Autovac becomes choked,or practically so with foreign matter. This trouble takes place when the car has been run for a short time after the chassis has been delivered from the Works, in spite of the fact that the petrol system and filters are finally cleaned out just prior to chassis delivery. We have felt that this trouble is more prevalent since the filter has been removed from the rear tank. We are not advocating the re-fixing of this filter, but that some proper protection is required for this autovac filter or the filter should be removed entirely. We are afraid, under the present circumstances, in spite of all we have done, some trouble is going to be experienced by new cars in customers' hands failing due to choking of the present inlet filter to the autovac.
