Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/2/H20.3.33. and Mxl3/T27.2.33. The Autovac Company have no improvement to offer us in the way of an enlarged filter; in addition they say that they can see no objection to removing the filter entirely provided that the petrol is filtered before it goes into the tank and again between the tank and the Autovac. It does not seem quite safe to us to leave the Autovac entirely unprotected. The small conical filter is obviously better than nothing, and there must be hundreds of cars of many other makes on the road under this condition. The alternative to retaining the conical filter without any other filtration is to use a second Enots plate filter between the tank and the Autovac. We do not see any reason to return to the old tank filter units chiefly because it is impossible to remove them for cleaning on nearly every modern bodied car. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A.
