To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} X8300 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG20.12.27. For the Sports cars we find the best rate of clutch stop is given by making G.75078 to give a load of 30 lbs. i.e., altering its free length from 2.025" to 2.735". We think that considering its position this is a safe stress. If you do not agree will you please let us have another spring giving the same load.
