Daimler Test
Gears v Good same as Rasmage S.S. excellent, Clutch, Good, Axle worn drive 100% for quietness did not get hot. Oil retaining throughout was excellent. Springing filled with coil springs on rear of back springs. Fair all-round seemed too stiff. Steering worn "segment" 1 1/2 turns of the wheel for full lock turning circle about 50'. steering was very steady but stiffish. Gear ratios Direct drive 3 3/8 : 1 2nd gear 4.8:1. Max speeds. Top 52 m.p.h. 2nd 40 m.p.h. 1st 21 m.p.h. Bad chucking in the drive. Carb picked up weak, & suction noisy EH.
