To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8450 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/LG4.3.27. SIDE STEERING TUBE SPRINGS. With reference to the side steering tube springs to be fitted to N.sch.2258. We have carried out tests and decided that we can fit springs of 1500 lbs. rating with a movement of .300 each side of the ball to every type of chassis including changeovers, i.e. 'V', 'Y' and B2. series. We understand that a spring has just been evolved which gives us the .300 each way and should therefore like to test this out on the bump as soon as it comes to hand (we actually are running a 40/50 HP. bump test now). This will clear up the situation with regard to this point. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
