Re 25 h.p.Clutches.
Experimental car...21-G-4.
-----------

In accordance with your instructions, I tried the above car on the road and in my opinion this clutch is satisfactory in every way.

It is very positive and yet not at all fierce. Even with aggravation I was unable to produce the roughness about which so many customers have recently complained.

I understand that the car has run 15,000 miles with this clutch fitted, and therefore it rather points to being a very great improvement on the former standard clutch. I would say this with the reservation that it would be interesting to know how it would stand up after a few weeks use in London traffic.

I have also sent our chief tester, Mr.Messervy, out on the car, and his opinion on the clutch is exactly the same as my own.

There is just one criticism to make; when I tried the car the clutch would not stop when hot. This, of course, may be due to the want of some adjustment, but it is a bad feature at the moment.
