(m) Lancegaye Glass.

We admit that we agreed to Lancegaye glass on several of these cars in place of the Triplex for the doors. In both cases we referred to toughened glass. From the experience of Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} after an accident, we do not favour the use of any form of toughened glass, even in the doors, as it can be as dangerous there as in the screen.

(n) Defroster Ducts.

Until further notice we need no further defroster ducts on experimental cars, and they should be removed on any which you have in hand, if possible. In any case the comb on the screen capping should not be more than 3/8th" high.

(o) Tight Fitting Windows.

On 10.B.5. in particular and to some extent on all other cars, the windows have had to be eased as their operation was very heavy. The position of the door handle and quick-lift handle should be as finally settled, on B.50 mock up. The driver's door handle on 10.B.5. has had to be altered.

FURTHER ITEMS.

8.B.5.

It was agreed that the body of 8.B.5. together with wings etc. should go to Messrs. Park Ward as soon as possible, in order that the coachwork may be examined after its 50,000 miles test, and repaired where defective.

We will choose a shade of Jaguar grey for its new finish.

It was agreed that we should fit swept running boards painted and with rubber strips in stainless steel channels, after the style we are using on Silver Ripple 1.R.1. and as agreed we should fit on B.5. production should a customer insist on having some form of running board.
