Wear of Black Finish on Prince of Wales' Car.
BJ2/S101019.
With reference to Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}1/W81019, as the original idea of the blck finish was to avoid the glare of the nickel silver parts, and as the enamel which it is intended should in future be placed on these parts is likely to wear white after some weeks or months, we think that experiments might be immediately made to ascertain how the glare could be overcome in some other way, such as cutting lines on the bright parts, or any othermethod which overcomes the direct reflection or glare.
Will you kindly ascertain what can be arranged in this respect.
BJ.
