the radiator needed to be removed. This is a peculiar case and we think our chassis people should investigate what has happened, as the loosening of these cross member bolts and the fracture of the wing at this rather unique place, may be two events which have some common origin.

(2) PAINTWORK.

We were able to demonstrate to Mr. Summers that the paintwork on his car was as good as on the best of any car in the factory. It was obvious that the car had been badly cleaned and inadequately washed. There was a surface layer of dirt on the paint which was causing the spotting to take place when drying after rain.

(3) WATER IN SCUTTLE.

The tray of the scuttle ventilator leaks water and the rubber fitting to prevent draught under the scuttle ventilator lid{A. J. Lidsey} was a poor fit.

(4) SCREEN LEAKS.

At Mr. Summers' request, after having agreed to buy a standard body with a fixed screen, he was supplied with one having an open-ing screen. This is not a satisfactory thing to do. It is very difficult in the room available to make a good water joint. How-ever, Messrs. Park Ward think they can cure this trouble.

(5) CRACKED BODY PANELS.

Cracks have occurred in the head at the corners of the sunshine roof and this body will be modified by the addition of the necessary quirks which are now standard.

(6) FERODO BUFFERS ON DOORS.

On the rear doors these had come off, due to the use of brass screws. This is the first case that we have heard of, but we are rather surprised to find that brass screws were used.

(7) DOOR HINGE PULLED OUT OF DOOR.

On one of the rear doors the hinge had pulled away from the
