to have a life from five to six times that of high-grade alloy steel.

An interesting and important application of this material is for tools, such as - chisels, wrenches, hammers, scrapers, screw-drivers, shovels, picks, etc., which are to be used in explosive atmospheres, and for those which have to maintain a cutting edge or which are subject to abrasion, it has been shewn that the endurance of beryllium bronze is from ten to fifty times that of any other material which may be used in these conditions, e.g. manganese or aluminium bronze.

The applications of this remarkable material are by no means exhausted by the above list, and Messrs. James Booth & Company(1915)Limited, will be very glad at all times to give further information respecting other applications.
