To R.R. of America Inc. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} -5- RB{R. Bowen}/G12/7/21 Contd. TUNGSTEN V.{VIENNA} PLATINUM. x2894. X 1818. Mr. Hives now points out that the contact points should have platinum-iridium faces instead of tungsten if this would considerably add to the life of these contacts. Our own and the magneto makers find tungsten far less reliable than platinum-iridium faces. We shall continue to report and investigate for our mutual advance, but at the moment it appears that your complaints are clearing up nicely. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
