Petrol Tank. ------------ With reference to bringing the new petrol tank in on 'U' series, until such time as the press is available we are proposing to make a few tools to carry us through the first 100 chassis, but we shall require By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} to allow us to make a loose gusset as mentioned yesterday to By/Cgh.{W Clough}, to which he agreed. With this modification and a few loose tools we propose to introduce, and these latter to be embodied with the new tools when the press comes along - also some press tools for the end plates, I see no reason why we should not bring the tank in on 'U' series at the same cost as our present design.
