13. Tyres - Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}

disadvantages for instance, increased tendency to low speed wobble.

14. Steering.

In cases where the rocking shaft has been twisted as the result of an accident, the replacement shaft should be in S.Z.N.X. Piece No. F.89716 with Pin F.89446, Roller and Washers F.89717/8. This material gives a 50% increase in strength and is used on chassis from 71 in 'D' onwards.

15. Rear shock absorber and roll bar connecting links.

The upper ball end contact pieces are frequently found in a dry and scored condition, due to insufficient lubrication.

The oil is fed into the lower end of connecting link.

An improved method of ensuring positive lubrication to upper end is required. Dg. is looking into this.

16. Rear spring lubrication.

The lubrication of tips of rear springs is inadequate as they are usually found in a rusty condition.

The oil feed to this point is being increased by the use of a Z.S.3 metering plug which is standard on Wraith.

17. Headlamp wiring.

N. complain of the difficulty of tracing out the wires when re-connecting after a radiator has been dismantled owing to the distinctive colouring of the wire casings being obliterated by oil and exposure.

They suggest coloured push on type terminals. We cannot agree to this type of terminal. A supply of split celluloid ferrules in various colours is being obtained. These can be slipped on to the ends of wires as they are dismantled, and will serve as a permanent indication. For future production the junction box is being moved to a more accessible and cleaner position on the frame side member.
