A further scheme has been received from W.W. which enables a certain amount of this work to be put in hand in the D.O. Minute 11. Item 10. "Z" Series. Modifications. We expect 18-G4. to go to France at the end of next week. We are not yet through our troubles on the automatic control for dampers and it is doubtful whether these parts can be fitted after 5,000 miles. Minute 12. Road Wheels. We are running the Rudge Whitworth wheels which were condemned on Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s. car 17-G4. and so far they have given no trouble. Minute 15. Item 14. on Agenda. Kestrel 1V. is being prepared for this test and we expect to have it at the end of next week. Until however, we have proved some means of improving the valves, we shall not be able to get very far with the tests. Modified valves are in hand. Minute 16. Item 12. Position re Griffon. No.3 Griffon has just been finally accepted by the A.I.D. Supercharger gears are being prepared so that this engine has been made into fully supercharged type and the development will then go forward. Minute.17. Item 13. Goshawk development work.
