600 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}3/JR.{Mr James Royce}12.3.37. 24-G-VI. We are sending the above car into the fitting shop for the following jobs :- (1) Raised front engine mounting taken off B-23-AE to be fitted - the fan can be left off for the time being. (2) Entirely remove present front engine feet to avoid any fouling on full torque. (3) Fit a new cross member across the 2 side members to carry the rear gear box mounting. This should be clear of the cross and such that we can remove same easily for comparative tests on both rear mountings. (4) Dismantle and examine rear axle pinion bearing.
