HYDRAULIC FRONT BRAKES - B.111, B.50 and WRAITH 80.

On PD.264 herewith we shew the hydraulic operation of Girling Brakes applied to the front brake drums of B.111, B.50 and Wraith 80.

They may be used with the yoke for either 56.260 ins. or 58.500 inch tracks. It will be seen that they cannot be used with wire wheels as there is insufficient room for the wedge with .750" travel.

At the moment these brakes are needed for the first Wraith 80.

An hydraulically operated four shoe brake is being developed should the two shoe scheme have insufficient area, and these will accompany the scheme for the pivot with increased span and a stronger stub axle.

The pieces made and used on the first Wraith 80, can be used subsequently for B.50 or B.111.
