Gearbox.

You will note in the Daily Report that we are again troubled with jumping out of third gear. You will recollect that this occurred once on the way up to Davos, but I was not able to guarantee that the gear had been fully engaged. When the trouble first occurred yesterday, we again doubted whether full engagement had been made, but after making quite certain, it again came out on two occasions, each time on accelerating after retard following some distance of moderate speed in third gear.

You will remember that when last in France, the same trouble was experienced with 26.G.VI. and was blamed onto the engine movements.
