X7420 X7230 [crossed out] X7240 We have investigated the question of fitting the shock damper front axle control to EAC. 7., and send herewith N. schs. 2335/6., shewing what we think will be involved in order to fit it to the existing EAC.7. chassis. Should further chassis be produced of this type, we may wish to make some additional modifications. The forged engine bearer arms require to have the boss for the torsion vibration damper moved, and we have suggested a temporary way of dealing with it for this one chassis. On N. sch. 2336. there appears to be some difficulty with the water drain cock. We think this difficulty is there in any case, and even if the cock were of the old type it would be found very difficult to operate it without a spanner of some sort. We have therefore suggested that a hexagon should be provided so that the sparking plug box spanner can be used. The exhaust pipe shewn is suitable for the existing car. Subsequently the top manifold might be modified so as to straighten out the pipe. It will be noticed that we ask for the intermediate pipe to be slightly bent. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
