Re: Bentley Wire Wheels.

Rin

When we were discussing the question of wheel failures with the Rudge Whitworth representative, I suggested that considerable improvement could be made by protecting the inside of the rim and bead by the metallization process, and asked them to send us two sets of wheels for experimental purposes.

We have just received the wheels in question and I should like to have them fitted to an experimental car so that at the end of twelve months or so, we could take one off and have it cut through to prove whether the metallization process has been really beneficial.

Incidentally Dunlop's are treating some wheels for us with another process, and it will be interesting to compare the results.
