1293 (Experimental Dept.) Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Les15/R. 25th January, 1937. Messrs. Armstrong's Patents Co.,Ltd., Eastgate, Beverley, YORKS: For the attention of Mr. Bogg. Dear Sirs, Mr. Armstrong in a letter to me dated 22nd inst. asked whether we should like the special damper casings for the longer shaft dampers made in "Mazak No.3" or aluminium. I think it will be wisest to use aluminium and suggest that the alloy "RR.50" should be used, if possible. It would be a good idea to have the plugs in the transfer passages screwed into the casing and made in aluminium. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
