PHANTOM III GEAR BOXES

We now have four instances where gears come out of mesh on cars which have seen some service.

Duke of Kent - 3-AZ-42.
This car has just been returned to us for inspection and modification and the driver reports that in mountainous districts on the Continent they had trouble with the second and third gears coming out.

Lord Rothschild - 3-AZ-52.
Similar trouble was experienced on this car.

London Trials - 3-AZ-38
Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} telephoned yesterday that the 3rd.gear comes out on this car. This car was put into service on the 28th July 1936

Nicholls - 3-AZ-56.
This car is going to Australia and the 3rd gear has come out on two occasions during final Coachbuilders tests in London.
