Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

Gentlemen,

For the attention of Mr. H.E. West - Wst/RC.{R. Childs}2/AP.

We thank you for your letter of March 6th and are very interested to learn that one of the first sets of Corundite plugs has now completed nine thousand miles.

We have noted what you say about the widening of gaps and we think it is quite possible that your suggestion is the right one. It has always been our intention to normalise the earth points either by bending before insertion into the bodies or by normalising in the finished plug.

In the samples you have had it has not been possible to do this as you will remember that they were very early samples and we had to make them up as best we could. However, in view of your experience we will give immediate attention to this and we hope to be able to treat the whole output at quite an early date.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. K.L.G. SPARKING PLUGS LIMITED.
