DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} H8430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/LG6.2.28. SHORTER PENDULUM LEVER. H8430 In fitting shorter pendulum levers we find that we can get a nice straight side steering tube in side elevation and a straighter pendulum lever if we turn the ball pin round and have it on the outside. While we can see the reason for having the ball pin on the inside, do you think that its use on the outside will be permissible now that we have reduced the ratio XXXX and consequently the load on the bearing?
